It is always optimal to have some experience with sewing and or working with embroidery thread, however the instructions include a Stitching Library which carefully and clearly illustrates how each stitch needed for this project is done so any one can learn.
This project includes some sketching onto felt, but you do not have to be an illustrator to accomplish this. The pattern for each ornament is simple and easy to tackle. Different methods of pattern transfer are included in the 'Sewing Prep' so you can pick and choose what's best for you!
Whilst finished embroidery pieces can look overwhelming, it is important to keep in mind that hand embroidery is a slow creative journey. I am an advocate for creativity and always encourage my makers to let go of the notion of perfectionism. No one stitch need be perfect; the overall look of the work will speak volumes.
